Beach Trip

Abel and Esther climbing the rock wall at Lincoln City Beach.

Cookies and Apple Cider at Fort Yamhill.

We built a wall out of driftwood so that other people can build on it.
We left our mark on the tallest pillar.
Abel climbing a burnt stump.
Esther helping with the picnic blanket.

 Building the wall.
Zac.  He was the only kid who volunteered to get buried that day!

  The conjoined twins.
Abel and Mom.

In honor of Francis De Polla's feast day(which was actually on Sunday), we went to the beach and spent the day at the coast.  We left at 1:30 pm on Monday and got back at around 7:30.  We had managed to escape the weekend crowd and spent an enjoyable day at the beach.  We left as the tide came in!  All the kids began building a wall out of driftwood with the help of Abel's red shovel and a large rock.  Josiah cut away a cross in the tallest beam to remind us to not forget about Lent and Passion Sunday next week.  We had a wonderful time, no one was injured and none ventured far in the freezing ocean! It was a blessing!
