Farm News From Stoneway Dr.

Jan 9th: 5 baby bunnies born in the afternoon. 3 have died from weakness since I am now the new foster mother of the poor things. Two now are what I am devoting my spare time to. Pinky and Francis are still here. Francis's mother had chewed off his little arms and tail, although he is still kicking. Pinky is very feisty and will have to be held to feed him from the eye-dropper. It is actually Baby Puppy Formula, but a lady raises her squirrels on this. It is very hard not to let the bunnies breathe it in since then they will choke and die tragically. The three have all died painlessly in their sleep which makes it easier to bear. But it is very hard. I really hope the two live, so that as they are sort of my babies, I may be able to be with them throughout their life. Well anyway. Its all in the hands of the Lord. Whatever his will. Clem's crickets are birthing now. He is trying to interest any Petco or Petsmart with them. I guess since there are so many people with Iguanas and lizards. Our guppies are flourishing as well, with a ghost shrimp and two or three Neons hanging around. That is really all the news now, but I definitely will post a photo of the baby bunnies in my next post when I can write! Keep looking out! Love, Avi P.S. My brother, Clem doing acrobatics at Octoberfest!

New Year's/What's in a Button, an Essay?

Happy 2014! I wish you a very blessed and happy year this 2014! My resolution is to be more thoughtful of others, be cheerful, patient, and to work on not being dramatic and sensitive this year. Its going to be a pretty hard goal thats for sure. I Am I doing OK?( I do have a lot of goals to acquire don't I?
) WHAT'S IN A BUTTON A button is a little circler article with usually two or four holes in the middle to be sewn onto a jacket or used as a sock-monkeys eyes, or a rag doll. I have never seen a bluebird button, ever, but I do imagine it must be quite a lovely center piece for a jacket or dress. I just love the sound of Button, and with Bluebird as the first word in the title its much more enjoyable for me, especially if I was new to this blog and was wondering what it meant. The button has been around for ages, ever since the early pioneers in fact, and the pilgrims, back since the days of early romans. It is such a cozy little thing, sometimes made of rock, marble or wood, and sometimes fabric, metal. Whoever invented the button must have thought quite a bit about woman and men who need buttons to fasten things on so that our clothes wouldn't look like a sack and open up in the middle. At least, those who are saints and did wear sackcloth, I wouldn't want to offend them, but I really do appreciate buttons and all. I would really like it if you would comment and ask me any questions about this post. And I do really like advice from you and complements, and if you have the courage, can you tell me what your resolutions are? I will really get inspired and definitely cheer you on and adopt it as my goal as well, if you don't mind! A toast to the New Year, and God grant you many years!(as my cousins would say!) Have a jolly and merry Year! (Above: Me, age seven riding on a horse, guess where.)
